THE NEED FOR TRAINING
There is a huge need to implement and facilitate training in the KZN Midlands community, not only to improve the professional competence but to improve the standards of personnel working in the security industry. Training is also an essential factor in industry competitiveness and the quality of services and goods delivered to clients. Key Training Academy will have a central role in developing security industry personnel in accordance to and exceeding the industry standards.
Key Training Academy will not only focus on training new students wishing to enter into the security industry, but will also implement ‘in-house’ training on a regular basis for staff already employed at Knight Security Solutions.
The core business of Knight Security Solutions, will tap-into the Key Training Academy, and may provide employment opportunities for new personnel entering into the security industry.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
1. UBUNTU training material is PSIRA approved and administered through various other training centres around the country. This training material is more affordable and less time consuming to teach. UBUNTU material is highly suitable for students wishing to enter into the security industry. Key Training Academy will ensure that student’s trained using UBUNTU material are well prepared.
2. SASSETA provides the relevant training material for the SASSETA qualification. Key Training Academy will offer the General Security Officer Training and qualification. SASSETA training is more comprehensive and costly than other security training offered, but it is registered at NQF Level 3.

Aimed at the duties of a Security Officer employed to respond to various types of alarm situations.

Aimed at the duties of a Security Officer employed at financial institutions.
RETAIL SECURITY
Entry Requirements: Grade D
Aimed at the duties of a Security Officer employed at a retail outlet performing a risk control function.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Entry Requirements: Grade D
Aimed at the duties of a Security Officer rendering a security service at special events, i.e. rugby/soccer stadiums, pop concerts, etc.
HOTEL
Entry Requirement: Grade C
Aimed at the duties of a Security Officer employed at a hotel and performing access control functions.
CONTROL ROOM
Entry Requirements: Grade D
Aimed at the duties of a Controller working in a security control room environment.
